Introduction To The Slicer

Microtome, a device for making slices for microscopic observation. The microtome is a machine for cutting thin and evenly organized pieces. The tissue is supported by hard paraffin or other substances. Each time the slice thicknesser is used to advance the desired distance (in the direction of the knife), the gradient of the thickness is usually 1 micron. When the paraffin-embedded tissue is cut, a plurality of sliced slices are formed by adhering to the wax side of the previous slice.
